Carroll Gene McGee Sr.

Carroll Gene McGee Sr. of Rockford departed this earthly life March 22, 2025. He was born December 14, 1939 in Quitman, MS the son of Leory and Rosie McGee. Carroll lived in Rockford 45 years coming from Quitman at the age of 18, staying until he retired, moving back Quitman 23 years; moving back to Rockford March of 2024 after becoming ill. Carroll was employed as a supervisor by National Lock, and supervisor many years at Rockford Blacktop before retiring. He was a member of Elwood Church of God in Quitman, MS. Carroll graduated from Shirley –Owens High School in Quitman. Carroll leaves to cherish many loving memories, his two daughters, Katherine McGee and Michelle (Tyrone) Frison; six sons, Dale (Jessie Mae ) Bland, Carroll (Felicia) McGee Jr; Terry McGee Sr; Glen McGee, Roger (Bev) McGee Sr; and Quintin McGee; 19 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren; special young lady who he loved like his own daughter, Jaimie (Junior); four sisters, Carolyn Lenoir, Mable McGee, Sharron Dear and Rosie Brown; three brothers, Leroy McGee, Willie Frank (Gwen) McGee, Gary (Shelinda) McGee; many nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; son Michael Jackson; sister Shirley Farrar; three brother Marvin, Roger and Gregory McGee. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church 3000 Rural Street. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
