Elizabeth Faust Obituary
Elizabeth Ann "Beth" Faust was 92 years old when her life in Heaven began on August 31, 2025. Beth was born in Orangeville, Illinois, on May 16,1933, to Dale and Josephine (Kilian) Gross. Graduating from Orangeville High School in 1951, Beth attended Deaconess School of Nursing in Freeport, Illinois, and then went on to graduate from Beloit College with her Bachelor of Science in Biology. Beth married William "Bill" Faust on December 6, 1958, and they enjoyed 55 wonderful years together before Bill went to be with Jesus.
Beth spent much of her life pouring herself into others from her time teaching at Rockford Memorial Hospital's School of Nursing, to raising her four children, to teaching many children the love of Jesus through volunteering at church and holding the Good News Bible Club in her backyard. After her children were older, she went back to nursing in nursing homes, eventually serving as the Director of Nurses at Fairhaven in Rockford.
Besides Jesus and her family, Beth's other love in life was quilting. She spent hours planning, arranging, piecing, sewing and quilting works of art for those she loved. She was a member of the Sinnissippi Quilters Quilt Guild and Christian Comforters Quilt Group in Rockford, Illinois, and later the Bitterroot Quilters Guild in Hamilton, Montana. Beth moved to Florence, Montana, in 2020, where she spent the remaining five years of her life in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley with her daughter Anne and family.
