Etta Witten Obituary

Etta Jane Witten, 85, of Waynesville, OH and formerly of Beloit, WI, and Rockton, IL, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025. She was born February 20, 1940 in Sioux City, IA, the daughter of John D. and Leona (Pelps) Lutton. Jane was a 1958 graduate of Central High School, Sioux City, IA. She married Wendell E. Witten on July 25, 1958 in Sac City, IA. He predeceased her on August 1, 2010. Jane was a homemaker, staying home and raising her sons when they were younger. Also in her younger years, Jane sang with the Sweet Adelines' group. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, reading, bird watching, making flower arrangements, and the company of her furry friends, cats and dogs. Jane was a volunteer at Beloit Memorial Hospital. Survivors include her sons, Warren (Kathy) Witten, Will (Jane) Witten and Tom (Brenda) Witten; grandchildren, Kelsey (Brian) Wagner, Max (Shelby Hall) Witten, Kate (Cameron) Sallee, Alicia (Michael) Colby, Kayla (Steve Fox) Witten, Andy Witten, Brandon Witten and Holly (Blake) Tenbarge; great grandchildren; Maddison Kate Colby and Arlo Jane Wagner. She was predeceased by her parents. A visitation of remembrance will be from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2025 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI. Inurnment will be in Rockton Cemetery, Rockton, IL. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local Humane Society or local Pet Shelter.
