Thomas Walker Obituary

Thomas Walker of Pecatonica, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on June 2, 2025, at the age of 41. He was born on March 18, 1984, to Thomas Walker Sr and Rosemary Walker. Tommy leaves behind his wife Alysca Walker, and children, Vanessa Wishard (step daughter) and Emma Walker (daughter). He is also survived by his mother, Rosemary; sisters Michele Rubenstein, Tamara (Thomas) McDonnell, and Shannon Murr; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Tommy entered into rest after his 2 angel babies, his father Thomas, his brother Jason Rubenstein, paternal grandparents Harry and Vera Walker, and maternal Grandparents Laird and Gladys Kayler. Known for his culinary skills, Tommy worked as a chef and restaurant owner alongside his wife at The Fire Barn. When he wasn't in the kitchen, he enjoyed hobbies such as four wheeling, go carting, and fixing things like lawn mowers and cars. A funeral ceremony will be held at 1:00 pm, on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at McCorkle Funeral Home - Pecatonica Chapel, 203 W. Fifth Street with Rev. Dennis Morrissy officiating. Final Resting Place to be St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Pecatonica, IL. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of ceremony, Wednesday at the funeral home. A luncheon will be offered following services with location to be disclosed at the service. Tommy had a huge heart for all animals. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Tommy's name to Care For Pets in Rockford, IL or give your donation directly to Alysca to be donated to Care for Pets in Tommy's name.
