Winston Galberth Obituary

Winston Bernard Galberth, of Rockford departed this earthly life June 11, 2025. He was born February 10, 1953 in Rosston, Arkansas the son of Lena Galberth and Xavier Tidwell. Winston lived in Rockford over 40 years coming from Madison, Wisconsin. He was employed as a Cargo Transporter by United Parcel Service, serving 20 years before retiring. Winston was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He graduated from Oak Grove High School in Arkansas. Winston leaves to cherish many loving memories, two daughters, Christina Galberth and Latasha Purifoy; son, Marcus Purifoy; many grandchildren; sister, Shirley Campbell; one niece, Quanda Tidwell; a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Lena Sims and Xavier Tidwell and step father Charles Sims. Services will be held 11:00a.m. Friday, June 20, 2025 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. Burial in Willwood Burial Park. Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
