Charles L Trader

Charles Lavon Trader, age 74, of Spencer, Indiana, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born in Kokomo, Indiana on April, 13, 1951 to Perry and Jennie (White) Trader. Charlie graduated from Spencer High School with the class of 1969. He married Nancy (Hall) Trader on February 12, 1971. Charlie retired from Wonder Bread/Hostess as a truck driver for 26 years. He enjoyed sitting outdoors and watching the birds, tending his vegetable garden, and watching his sons race cars. Charlie is survived by his wife Nancy; children, Allen Trader, Chrisy Trader (Mark Lantz), Jason Trader (Jamie Holsapple); grandchildren, Caleb Trader (Erin), Jacob Trader (Jessica), Kyle Hasselburg, Cory Hasselburg (Heather), and Elizabeth Trader-Fulk (Ethan) and Is Wolfe (Alisha); great-grandchildren, Parker, Brynlee, and Maddie; siblings, Perry Trader, Irma Pegg, Jim Trader (Ellen), Jan Raymond, Don Trader (Donnette); brother-in-laws, Larry Jacobs and Craig Schneider; many nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his parents; sister, Debbie Jacobs; nephew, Kent Trader; sister-in- laws, Linda Trader and Connie Schneider; and brother-in-laws, Morris Pegg, Greg Raymond and Paul Hall. Funeral services for Charlie will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, May 23, 2025 at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 N. Montgomery Street, Spencer, Indiana 47460. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4;00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 22, 2025 and Friday 10:00 am until time of the service at 11:00 am.
