David Max Hasler, born on May 8, 1944, in Linton, Indiana, died early on the morning of February 28, 2025. He graduated from Central High School (now known as White River Valley) in 1962, then earned a degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University in 1966. He married Linda Marie Yake that same year. Dave and Linda moved to Midland, Texas, where Dave worked for Shell Oil for a year, then served two years in the Army: one at Fort Bliss, followed by a year with the Army Corps of Engineers in Vietnam. After another year at Shell, Dave acquired an MS in Civil Engineering in 1972, then began a thirty-year career at Procter and Gamble in Cincinnati. After Linda's death in 1980, Dave accepted a transfer to Green Bay, Wisconsin, where he met and married Elizabeth in 1984, then returned to Cincinnati a year later.
Dave's deep faith informed all the parts of his life. He was generous with his love, his time, his resources and skills. At his church he served as an elder and a small group leader. Dave was deeply proud of his sons, supporting their activities and attending their games and meets. Dave was an expert gardener and a competitive racquetball player.
