Gloria Gale Lenover

Gloria Gale Lenover, 94, of Marshall, passed away August 28, 2025, at her residence. She was born January 8, 1931, in Gary, Indiana, the daughter of Orville Thomas and Margaret Miller Thomas. She married Larry Glen Lenover on June 17, 1950. He preceded her in death on April 23, 2000. Gloria was a member of the Marshall Federated Church. She graduated from Rosedale High School and retired from Kraft Foods in Champaign, Illinois. Gloria was a very caring Christian woman. She loved cats, dogs and morel mushrooms. Survivors include 2 sons, Michael R. Lenover (Diana) of Colbert Georgia, and Patrick K. Lenover (Darlene Tuft) of Marshall; daughter, Katrina Kathleen Hayn (Robert) of Newtown, Indiana; and son-in-law, Richard Norman of Ohio. She is survived by 18 grandchildren, Katie Morris (Ben), Chris Anderson (Nakia), Amanda Sommers (Nicholas), Candice Shelton (Rob Loden), Courtney Hambleton (Rylan), Trevor Shelton, Robert Clevenger (Helen), Jarod Clevenger (Hillary), Brandon Clevenger, Amy Clore, Robert Lenover (Sheena), Kasie Lothschuetz (Manuel), Jerry Hayn (Michelle), Jake Hayn (Jillian), Andrew Tome (Leah), Michael Tome (Stacey), Chris Tome, and Amanda Branson; several great and great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister, Florence Smith of Avon; and sister-in-law, Mildred Thomas of Veedersburg. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry Glen Lenover; daughter, Sandra K. Norman; son-in-law, Gary Hayn; 6 brothers, Richard Thomas, Bill Thomas, Mickey Thomas, Bob Thomas, Donald Thomas and Larry Thomas; and 3 sisters, Jane Kent, Evelyn Bostick, and Judy Williams. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. at Barnes and Rice Funeral Home, 111 East High Stret, Rockville, Indiana. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Holt officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Garden Cemetery in Rockville.
