Russell Stines Obituary

Russell D. Stines, 72, of Switz City, passed away peacefully at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Serenity Springs Nursing Home. He was born in Bloomington, Indiana, on April 22, 1953, he was the beloved son of Wanda Stines. A graduate of Bloomington High School, Russell went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force for four years. After his service, he dedicated over thirty years to a career as a truck driver, hauling tractors, combines, and heavy equipment. Russell is survived by his wife, Jane Stines (Malone); his mother, Wanda Stines; his children, Bucky (Sara) Stines,; two great-grandchildren; and his sister, Carol Ebesle, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. A celebration of Russell's life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson Foundation.
