Wilma Miller Obituary

Wilma Irene Miller, 97, of Spencer, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 20, 2025 at the Owen Valley Health Campus and Rehabilitation Center. Wilma was born on May 6, 1928 in Spencer, Indiana to Pearl and Mary (Edgerton) Laymon. Wilma was always very active. While she was in high school, she worked in Bloomington, Indiana making bullets for the military during World War II. She then went to work at Indiana Bell for many years. After retiring she worked at Dyars Apple Orchard and then she worked at Canyon Inn, in the Gift Shop. Wilma loved to quilt and she dearly loved to travel. Since Wilma had no children, she dearly loved her 18 nieces and nephews. Wilma was a member of the Spencer Christian Church. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin, brothers, Ralph, Paul, Don, Richard and sisters Roberta and Helen. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, September 26, 2025 at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 North Montgomery Street, Spencer, Indiana. Dr. Alan Lewis will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 AM until time of service on Friday, at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to ones favorite charity or to the Spencer Christian Church. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.westparrishpedigo.com.
