Jerry Lewis Woodland, born on March 2, 1951, in Fayette County Tennessee, passed away on September 23, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication and service that is remembered by many. A member of Power House COGIC, Elder Nathaniel Henderson, Pastor.
Jerry had a diverse and noteworthy career, demonstrating strong commitment during his twenty-plus years of employment at Co-Corp Industries. Prior to this, he also held positions at Wilder Inc., the Fayette County School system, and Mabone Funeral Home, LLC. His varied work experiences not only reflected his versatility but also his dedication to contributing positively to the community.
A proud graduate of Fayette County Training School, Jerry’s educational background served as a foundation for his professional journey and lifelong learning.
He is survived by his six children: Conover Watkins, Lawrence Neal, Cheston Woodland, Cassandra Moorman, Angela Watkins, and Jerrie L. Woodland. Jerry was also a devoted grandfather, with six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren who will cherish his memory. His siblings, Alphonso Woodland and Carl (Sharon) Lee, grieve his loss alongside the rest of his family.
Jerry is preceded in death by his father, Dave Woodland, and his mother, Corine Lee. His family and friends will remember him for his steadfast character, warm spirit, and the indelible mark he left on their lives.
Visitation with friends and family will be held on Friday, October 3rd, 2025, at Mabone Funeral Home in the Mary Lee Mabone Memorial Chapel from 5-7:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be Saturday,12 noon Funeral Service time. October 4th, at Fayette Ware Comprehensive School 13470 Highway 59 West, Somerville, TN 38068. Reverend Tony Pierce, Pastor Wright's Chapel M.B. Church Eulogist. Elder Nathaniel Henderson, Officiant.
