JoAnn McGaha Obituary

Jo Ann Wade McGaha was born on June 14, 1943, in Guntown, MS, to the late Mark Wade, Sr. and Dessie L. Sadler Wade. The Lord called Sis. Jo Ann to be with Him on October 9, 2025. She professed a hope in Christ at Trinity C.M.E. Church. She taught Sunday School. She served as a pastor's aide president and missionary secretary. She served faithfully on the Stewardess Board until her death. Sis. Jo Ann graduated from J.O. Lowe High School in Guntown, MS, in 1963 and from Mississippi Valley State University in 1966. She was employed at Tombigbee Electric Power Association for 25 years until her retirement in 2005. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Frank McGaha in 1975 and was a devoted wife until his passing in 2015. She leaves to cherish her memory four sisters, Evvie Lou Birks and Joycelyn Berry of Guntown, MS, Annie (David) Mayes of Indianapolis, IN, Kinlock Bell (Marshall) of Brandon, MS; one brother-in-law, George McGaha of Baldwyn, MS; one sister-in-law, Mattie Wade of Guntown; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank McGaha; three brothers, Charlie Wade, Cecil Wade, and Mark Wade, Jr.; and one sister, Rhetta M. Richardson.
