Jonathan LeAnthony Smith, Sr., 39, born on July 9, 1985, in Amory, Monroe County, MS, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center ~ Gilmore in Amory, MS. He was a devoted father, son, and brother, whose impact on those around him will be felt for years to come.
Jonathan is survived by his loving parents, Tony Smith and Angela Smith; his cherished sons, Jonathan LeAnthony Smith, Jr. and Destry Shumpert; his beloved daughters, Kynade Shumpert and Paislee Smith; and his brothers, Tommy (Ronalda) Smith and Josh Crump. Jonathan's family meant the world to him, and his love for them was evident in every aspect of his life.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Victory Temple Outreach Ministries, located at 1200 Victory Temple Drive in Amory, MS. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 1:00 PM, also at Victory Temple Outreach Ministries.
Jonathan’s spirit and enthusiasm for life will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. His legacy will live on through his children and the many lives he touched throughout his journey. May he rest in peace.
