Rayburn Tutor

Rayburn Tutor, 73, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital North Mississippi in Oxford. He was veteran of the United States Army and served from February 1971-November 1972. He was a member of Westside Pontotoc Church of God of Prophecy. He spent most of his life working in the logging industry. Then he worked for Pontotoc County where he retired in 2014. He was a strong, hard working, kind man who loved hard and made everyone feel welcome. He always had a smile on his face and loved to laugh. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and dominos. Most of all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be at 6:30pm Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home. Bro. Billy Joe Finley will officiate. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors, 3 children, Chris Tutor of Randolph, Natasha Martin (Chad) of Tupelo and Shelby Wilson (Ryan) of Randolph; 4 bonus children, Barry Williams, Tiffany Morris and Jeremy Morris all of Randolph and Brad Williams of Troy; 15 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 10 siblings, Ray Tutor of Fulton, Jane Hawkins (Billy) of Southaven, Joyce Walls (Larry) of Pontotoc, L.V. Tutor (Genice) of Randolph, M.D. Tutor (Kathy) of Randolph, Jan Robinson of Pontotoc, Jennifer Adams (Bobby) of Randolph, Vickie Stewart (John III) of Pontotoc, Pat Tutor (Frankie) of Grenada and George Tutor (Amanda) of Randolph. Preceded in death by, parents, Luther Dewitt Tutor and Addie Velma Hardy Tutor; one brother, two brothers in law, one sister in law and two nephews. visitation, 4:30pm until service time Tuesday, November 26, 2024.
