Sandra L. (Shugar) Pachuilo, 81, of Reading, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025 at The Residence at Village Green, Sinking Spring. She was the wife of the late Eugene D. Pachuilo. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth L. and Evelyn R. (Meinholz) Shugar. Sandra helped operate Pachuilo's Cafe on North 8th Street in Reading during the 60's, 70's, and 80's.
Sandra loved spending time with family and friends. People were always welcome to come and visit for a while. Her friendly nature and bubbly personality made everyone feel comfortable in her presence. She especially liked spending time near on in the water. The Chesapeake Bay and Myrtle Beach were two of her favorite places to visit and just enjoy life.
But she also had a quiet side. Reading was a favorite pastime of Sandra's. She spent countless hours reading and enjoying the many books that were always present in her home. While her favorite genre was mystery, she did enjoy many types of books.
Sandra is survived by her daughter, Deborah L. wife of Bradley Holloway, of Sinking Spring, and her two grandsons: Brandon Holloway and Ryan Holloway. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren; Kali Holloway, Rylynn Holloway, and Reese Holloway, as well as two brothers; Gary L. Shugar, M.D., husband of Lisbeth, of Reading, and Thomas L. Shugar, Ed.D., husband of Deborah, of Exeter.
