Shelby Smith Obituary
Baldwyn- Shelby Smith, 88, passed away at her home on Sunday, October 26, 2025. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, flowers, sewing and she loved spending time with her family. She was a homemaker and member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at Waters Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Ray Guin and Bro. Douglas Kitchens officiating. Burial will be in the Kirkville Cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Dexter Smith, Hickory Flat, Jean Posey (Johnny) of Baldwyn and Nellie Grisham (Dan) of Baldwyn; Grandchildren, Tracy Pearson (Clay) Baldwyn, Eric Reynolds, (Ginger) Guntown Scott Reynolds (Lacy) of Guntown and Gary Smith Hickory Flat; Great-grandchildren, Teah Pearson, Austin Pearson, Brandon Pearson. Taylor Reynolds, Sara Kate Reynolds, Easton Reynolds, Riley Hallmark, Aidan Reynolds, Cole Reynolds, Luke Reynolds, Will Reynolds, Sydney Reynolds; Sister, Martha Brown and two brothers James George and Daniel George; She had a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Durb and Lilly Bell George, sisters Wyvon Smith, and Ella May Barnes, Two brothers Jerry Dobin George and Jack George and a baby sister Brenda; Son Mark Smith; Grandson Mathew Smith. and infant son of Dexter Smith.
Her grandsons will serve as her pallbearers.
Her great-grandsons will serve as her honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 5:00 – 8:00 p. m.
