Shirley Sten "Susie Bee" Holts

Ms. Shirley Sten Holts, 63, of Potts Camp, MS, transitioned on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at North MS Medical Center, Tupelo, MS.

On December 10, 1961, Laurel Clayton Holts and James Holts welcomed a set of twins, a boy and girl. Shirley Sten Holts was one half of that twin package. She went fondly by her nickname, Susie Bee.
Shirley accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age but later in life truly realized who and what he was to her and developed a strong relationship with GOD. She was a faithful member of Royston Chapel C.M.E Church, until her health failed her.
Shirley attended Ashland High School, later getting her GED and going to cosmetology school. She held many professional hats from working in factories, hospitals, and nursing homes. She held a special place in her heart for her co-workers. She loved to tell them about God, encourage them, and just be a listening ear. She was the best mother to her only child, her daughter, Sierra. And later the best grandmother to her only grandchild, Kadean. She always had a smile and words of encouragement; despite the challenges she faced. She departed this earthly home on September 21, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.
She was proceeded in death by her mother and father, Laurel and James Holts, a baby brother, Derrick Holts, and her beloved older brother, Jimmie Holts. She is now reunited with them along with her twin brother, Jessie Holts, who departed this earthly home, one day before her. She leaves to cherish one daughter, Sierra Lesure and one grandon, Kadean Cowan, both of Guntown, MS. Her siblings: Laura Judge of Holly Springs, MS, Betty (William) Porter of Memphis, TN, John (Claire) Holts of Jackson, MS, David (Causby) Holts of Holly Springs, MS, Rennie (Courtney) Rayford of New Albany, MS, James Holts of Holly Springs, MS, Inez (Levi) Taylor of Ashland, MS, and Dorain (Gina) Holts of Holly Springs, MS.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, 12 Noon to 4:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home, 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS 38635.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at New Dimension Salt & Light Ministries, 565 Neely Avenue, Holly Springs, MS 38635.

Burial will take place at Royston Chapel Church Cemetery, Potts Camps, MS.
