Wyatt Ellis "Punk" Crowell Sr.

Wyatt Ellis Crowell, Sr., lovingly known to most as "Punk", proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, (96) of Booneville, MS, passed away Monday, October 27, 2025, in Southaven, MS surrounded by loved ones. He was a member of Emmanuel Pentecostal Church. He was born in Booneville, MS on April 1, 1929 to the late Oscar Earl Crowell and Cordelia Hasson, and resided in Booneville for the rest of his 96 years. He worked his younger fatherhood years as a City Policeman until he began dealing in used cars and found his life's calling. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman who loved buying, selling and training dogs. He also enjoyed playing dominos. Services are 1 pm Thursday, October 30, 2025 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Christopher Richerson officiating. Burial will follow in the Cain's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 11-1 Thursday in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home. Punk is survived by his wife of 37 years, Barbara Crowell of Booneville; his sons, Wyatt Ellis "Mike" Crowell, Jr. (Sandra) of FL, Larry Crowell (Faye) of Jayess, MS and Christopher Richerson (Jessica) of AL; his daughters, Mary Angela Crowell of Southaven and Vicki Thornton of Booneville; his grandchildren, Larry Crowell, Jr., Krisi Crowell, Kelly Berryhill (Bronson), Kayla Crowell, Krisi Eaton (Shane), Andy Thornton, Michael Thornton (Janie), Chad Thornton, Gregory Crowell, Jr., Angelica Armstrong (Blake), Megan Crowell (Andrew), Ashton Stephens, Corie Crowell, Bryce Richerson, Braxton Richerson and Montana Richerson; a host of great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his son, Greg Crowell; his father, Oscar Earl Crowell; his mother, Cordelia Hassan; his brother, Dallas Crowell and his sister, Dorothy Montgomery. Pallbearers are Bronson Berryhill, Shane Eaton, Andy VanMeter, Ashton Stephens, Drew Thornton, Andrew Perry, Brandon Hutcheson, Michael Thornton and Bryce Richerson.
