A. Kathleen "Kat" Estep

1938 - 2023

left this Earth in the early morning hours of May 30, 2023. She was 85 and a resident of St. Albans for 58 years.

She worked as a seamstress for Lawson's Floor Coverings and Draperies for many years before deciding to work from her home making unbelievable window treatments, etc. for many residential and commercial businesses all over the Charleston area, including many state offices. She retired at the age of 70.

She was a member of Washington St. Church of Christ, St. Albans. First and foremost she was a Christian.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was kind, loving, giving, soft spoken and slow to anger. She loved her family and she loved her Lord.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Vernon and Mollie Mullins, son, Ricki Brian Estep, and son-in-law, Glenn Lucas.

She is survived by her five children; Vicki (Glenn) Lucas, Kristi (Mike) Suits, Kathi (Stu) Morris, Kelli (Oz) Feicht, and Kenny (Von) Estep all of St. Albans. Five granddaughters; Mandie (Rudy) McIlvaine of Springfield, Virginia; Leigha (Brian) Hummell of Longwood, Florida; Samantha (Chris) Boggess of Charleston; Hanna and Kendall Estep of St. Albans. Great Grandchildren; Alana and Layla Hummell; Cameron and Margot McIlvaine; Hudson Boggess and little brother Tripp - arriving in late August; and Jaxon Estep.

She leaves sisters; Nora Collins, Elaine Richards, and Gloria "Tootsie" Walls of Logan County and a sister-in-law Drema Tetoff of Charleston along with many nieces and nephews.

She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am, July 8, 2023 at Washington Street Church of Christ, 601 Washington St., St. Albans with Minister Scott Pauley officiating.

A bereavement dinner will follow the service at the church.
