Billy Eades Obituary

Billy Alderson Eades ll, 75 of St.Albans, WV died August 27,2024.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Virginia Eades, sister Catherine Eades Gerichten. Billy is survived by his brother, Johnny Eades(Linda), niece Melissa, nephew Johnny(Darlene),great niece Victoria(Kincaid) and great niece Ashley.Billy graduated from St.Albans High School in 1969 where he worked as a sport trainer/manager for various sports teams. Following his graduation, he volunteered his services for more than 50 years to SAHS. Billy loved SAHS. You could always see him in school colors(red and black) and a SA hat. Billy received many honors over the years. The one he cherished the most was being inducted into the St.Albans Hall of Fame.

Billy was most appreciative of the simple recognitions from the people he encountered along life's highway, members of the community, school administrators, the staff at SAHS, all the coaches and athletes he worked with and all the students that took the time to know him and considered him a friend. He truly cherished these friendships.

As Billy's health began to weaken over these past years, he insisted he wanted to live out his years in his home on Washington Ave. where he found great peace as his final time on earth approached because he could look out his front window and see his beloved second home, SAHS.

Heaven has opened its arms and welcomed Billy to once again join all the Red Dragons who have awaited him.Billy was a humble child and a gracious adult who was kind to all he met. Anyone who met him knew the kindness and warmth of his heart immediately. He will be missed, but remembered fondly by all who knew him.

There will be a celebration of Billy's life on Sunday October 6th at 2:00 pm in the St. Albans High School commons. All his friends are welcome.

Billy was a special friend. We shared fond memories of our childhood years living in Ward, WV, where his dad was the store manager. He always reminded me that my sister, Sue, was his babysitter! I will always remember him with much fondness! Welcome home dear friend!

Billy had such a kind heart. SAHS will always have an Angel looking down watching over them at every practice and every game. He touched so people´s lives and you will never be forgotten. I still have a leather bracelet with my name embossed on it that Billy made many many years ago. RIP Billy Red Dragon Legion

Billy was a loving brother and will be missed dearly. His kindness was witnessed by those who knew him. When going through his home after his death, I found the deep root of his love for SAHS. He had about 100 school themed hats, all his clothing was either red, black or a combination of those colors and even many oh his appliances were red! With every visit to St. Albans, Billy would always have a baseball cap with a "SA" emblem to bring home. I wear them regularly; and now they will always bring back fond memories of a loving brother and his lifelong love for SAHS and the friends he cherished. Rest in peace Billy, you were a special person and brother. Johnny Eades

Billy was a legend not just in St. Albans, but all over Kanahwa County. I have a lot of fond memories of BIlly's first few years at the high school. Ed Carter was his mentor on the baseball team leading him to other sports. Billy, I can't and won't say godd bye for we shall meet again one day my friend.

Tighten those helmet screws and wrap those ankles a lil tighter. Thanks for all you´ve taught me and being such a great friend. I´ll see you on that heavenly football field someday. RIP my friend. Equipment Brothers Forever
