Bobbie Lee Rose

BOBBIE LEE ROSE, 89, of Charleston, WV, passed away November 3, 2025, at his home.
He was born April 26, 1936, at Falling Rock, WV, a son of Mildred Rucker Rose and Norman Kiser Rose.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sister Louella Sterling and niece Paula Abbott McMaster.
Bob leaves his wife of 71 years, Billie Oliver Rose. They were high school sweethearts. If you would see one look around and the other would be close by. They were a very close family.
Bob leaves one son Timothy Lee Rose and his wife Ami; two grandchildren, Michael Lee and Chase Alexander Rose; two great-grandchildren Bohdi and Evelyn; one step-granddaughter Ashley Mileff; brother Kevin Quinn; and several nieces and nephews. His grandchildren were the light of his world.
Bob graduated from Clendenin High School with the Class of 1954. He then started work at C & P Telephone Co. in Charleston. He also started college at nights and on weekends. After six years of working he was drafted into the US Army. He was stationed at the base in Columbus, Georgia. Billie got to go live off base. After his military tour was over he went back to work and back to school. He worked 20 years and retired. He started building houses and investing in properties to rent. He got his degree at Morris Harvey College. He also enjoyed going to see WVU football games.
A funeral service will be held at Stump-Matics Funeral Home, 8539 Elk River Road North, Clendenin, WV 25045, on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 12 p.m., with Pastor Cheryl Davis officiating. Visitation will be Friday, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Interment will be in Oliver Cemetery, Clendenin, WV.
