Carolyn Lamp Obituary
CAROLYN S. LAMP 90, of Saint Albans, WV, went to be with the Lord on June 11, 2025, surrounded by loving family.
Carolyn was born July 29, 1934 in Peach Creek, WV, the daughter of Roy and Alice Bowling. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Clark Lamp; daughter Sarah Urban; great-grandchild Aiden Urban; and parents, Roy and Alice Bowling.
She was a graduate of Sherman High School in Boone County.
She was a long-time resident of Saint Albans, WV with her loving husband Clark Lamp. Carolyn was a member of St. Peter's UMC where she loved to sing in the choir.
Remaining to cherish Carolyn's memory is her sister Marian Davis of Charleston, WV. Her children, son Clark Lamp, II and wife Barbara of Hurricane, WV, daughter Elizabeth Thompson and husband John of St. Albans, WV and son-in-law Jeff Urban of Garden City, SC. Her grandchildren, Paul Urban (Denise), Christa Hodges (Jason), Brian Urban (Jamie), Stephanie Morrison (Josh), Chris Urban, Ashley Tomasek (Jared), Matthew Thompson and Kelsey Thompson. Her great grandchildren, Everette, Bella, Kylah, Ethan, Zoey, Elijah, Emerson, Maci, Marley, Blake, Chloe, Claire, Emma, Nora and Eva. Her great great grandchildren Lilly, Levi and Leland, and many family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at St. Peters United Methodist Church, 2601 Forrestal Ave., St. Albans with the Rev Jacob Henley officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the funeral service at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests Memorial donations to be sent to Hubbard Hospice House West, 4605 MacCorkle Ave. SW., South Charleston, WV 25309 or St. Peter's UMC, In Memory of Carolyn Lamp, 2601 Forrestal Ave., St. Albans, WV 25177.
