Carroll Lee Westfall

CARROLL LEE WESTFALL, 80, of Poca, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born September 1, 1945, to the late Fred and Josephine Woods.
Carroll was a dedicated member of her community and gave countless hours of service to the Town of Poca. She served on the Town Council and worked part-time at Poca Town Hall as Town Recorder. She was a member of the Democratic Executive Committee Club, the Putnam County Fair Board, and the Putnam County School Board, where she worked full-time.
Carroll loved life. She enjoyed going to concerts, running her kids around when they were young, and being actively involved in her community. She also enjoyed, in her mind, going to her nephew Dennis' house for Christmas dinner every Thursday.
She loved her daughters, but she absolutely adored her grandchildren Jacob, Ty, and Taylor. When her great granddaughters, Elaina and Melanie, came along, they stole the show and became the lights of her life.
In addition to her parents Carroll was preceded in death by her daughter Michele Clark, and her sisters Mary Grant and Dessie Gay.
She is survived by her daughter Melissa Smith and husband Mike, son-in-law Mike Clark of Winfield; grandchildren Jacob Clark, Ty Smith, and Taylor Smith; great granddaughters Elaina and Melanie truly the loves of her life. Also surviving are her brother Harvey Long (Cindy), sister Arleen Withrow and husband Rick, and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A tribute to life for Carroll will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday November 8, 2025 at Gatens - Harding funeral home chapel with Pastor David Bailey officiating.
Friends may visit from 12 - 1 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
