Darlene Foster

MS. DARLENE FOSTER, 67, of Scott Depot, passed away peacefully at home on November 15, 2025.
Darlene was born November 3, 1958, in Dunbar, WV, to the late Hustion and Erma Ruth Foster. She was a graduate of Winfield High School. After graduation, she spent two memorable summers working at Bronco Junction Camp. She later became a proud member of the United Steelworkers Local #14614 in Nitro and was employed with Fletchers Fence and Wire, which later became Gilbert and Bennett Corporation.
Darlene had a love for simple joys reading and writing poetry, spending time outdoors, and tending to her garden. She was a woman of strong faith, a devoted Christian, and a member of Rock Branch Independent Church.
She is survived by her brother, Dale (Sharon) Foster; nephew Jeremy Foster; great-nephew Owen; great-nieces Christina and Haylee; and her beloved dog, Tino; as well as great neighbors.
A tribute to the life of Darlene will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Delbert Hawley officiating. Burial will follow in Emma Chapel Cemetery, Liberty. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
