David Alan Dodd

DAVID ALAN DODD, 63, of Elkview went home to meet Jesus, Tuesday, January 2, 2024 after a long illness.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Estil Harold Dodd & Violet Dodd, and brother, Gerald "Sam" Drucker.
David was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend, whom we will truly miss. He was of the 1978 graduate class at Herbert Hoover High School and worked for the Kanawha County Clerks for over 40 years. Dave was an avid sports fan.
He is survived by his brothers, H. Drexel & Gail Dodd of Columbus and Thomas & Robin Dodd of Elkview; special sister's, Delores Atkins and Sonya Drucker; nieces, Crystal & Scott Deusenberry of Clendenin, and Pauline Young; and nephews, Daniel & Michelle Dodd of Charleston, Peyton Young, and Phoenix Hutchinson; and great nephew, Ashton Dodd.
Family request that everyone is encouraged to show your support by wearing one of "Dave's" favorite sports teams, WVU Mountaineers, Herbert Hoover High School, Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates clothing.
A service will begin 12 p.m., Friday, January 5, 2024 at Hafer Funeral Home, with Chaplain Ritchie McNeil and Rev. Austin Harper officiating. Burial will follow at Elk Hills Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2024 at the funeral home, and also from 11 - 12 p.m., on Friday, January 5, 2024.
