Gregory Allen Oxley

GREGORY ALLEN OXLEY, 72, of Charleston, WV went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 2, 2024, at Hubbard Hospice House. As a family, we take comfort in knowing that he is now with our Heavenly Father rejoicing on the streets of gold.
Born to the late Freer and Evelyn Oxley, Gregory was a cherished figure in his community, known for his devout Christian faith, love for the outdoors, and dedication to his family and friends.
Gregory retired in 2009 after a fulfilling 31-year career at Brewer and Company. He was a proud member of the Pipefitter Local 669, where he formed many lasting friendships and earned the respect of his colleagues. His commitment to his craft was paralleled by his devotion to Ruth Community Church, where he was a founding member and where on his Christian walk, he enjoyed fellowship and worship with his brothers and sisters in Christ.
An ardent outdoorsman, Gregory's passions included fishing, hunting, and anything that could keep him close to nature. His love for Harley Davidson motorcycles, sports cars, and racing also marked significant aspects of his leisure time, bringing joy not only to him but also to those who shared in these activities.
Gregory is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Oxley; daughters, Courtney Pauley and Andrea Oxley; stepdaughter, Jodi Davis; grandchildren, Madisyn, Reaghyn, Peyton, Lexi, Josiah, Rory, Brody, and Blake; sister, Tami Marker(Allen); nieces, Autumn Humphreys and McKenzie Marker; and great-nephews, Henry and Jasper Humphreys. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Angela Leibert Oxley, the mother of his girls.
Gregory's life was a testament to the values of hard work, faith, and family. His generous spirt, love for life, and dedication to his family, friends, and church community will forever be remembered. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of love and perseverance.

A celebration of life will be held at Elk Hills Memorial Park on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 2 p.m., with Pastor Butch Loftis officiating.
