He enjoyed WVU football and basketball and was a Carolina Panthers fan. He enjoyed growing vegetables and flowers which he would often give away at local nursing homes. He also volunteered with Meals-on-Wheels/Friendship Trays.
Harold was preceded in death by his twin brothers Ronald and Donald and by his faithful dog Cubby. Harold is survived by his mom Lela Shaffer of Charleston, WV, and brothers George Farris of NC and John Shaffer of Charleston, WV.
