24, passed away on the 16th of November, 2025. The oldest of three, Isaac was born in Charleston, West Virginia on May 31, 2001, to Jacob and Amy Taylor. He graduated with high honors from Riverside High School C/O 2019. He then went on to study at Arizona State University Cronkite School where he graduated with a B.A. in Mass Communication and Media Studies in August 2022 while working as a shift manager at Starbucks.
Isaac was excited to begin his journalism journey at WOWK 13 News in September 2021. He began as a part-time Master Control Operator before being promoted to Digital Producer and eventually to Digital Content Manager.
In April 2025, Isaac moved to Lansing, Michigan to assume the position of Assistant News Director at FOX 47 News - WSYM.
When not at work, Isaac loved to watch movies and game shows, listen to music and have game nights with family. He was an avid collector of Blu-ray and Criterion movies, vinyl records, and video games. Isaac was also a talented musician who was capable of playing five different instruments.
Isaac is preceded in death by grandparents, David and Mary Hodge of Chesapeake, West Virginia; uncles, Jeremiah Paul Taylor and Jonathan Vincent Taylor of Quincy, West Virginia, Cris Walker of Kimberly, West Virginia and Greg Hodge of Sissonville, West Virginia.
He is survived by his parents, Jacob and Amy Taylor of Diamond, West Virginia; brothers, Ethan and Andrew Taylor of Diamond, West Virginia; grandparents, Melvin and Elaine Taylor II of Diamond, West Virginia; uncles, Melvin (Kristi) Taylor III of Roanoke, Virginia, Joseph (Jill) Taylor of Spencer, West Virginia; aunts, Kristy (Chad) Nelson, of Bloomingrose, West Virginia, Beth (Mark) Wood, of Kimberly, West Virginia; cousins, Kayla Conwell, Heather Balser, Alyssa Nelson, Jeffrey Hodge, Kelsi Taylor, Kayla Nelson, and Cayden Hodge. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Cherry Pie.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Fidler and Frame Funeral Home, Belle West Virginia. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Isaac's name to the National Film Preservation Foundation @
