Jack Bernheimer Obituary

It is with much sadness that the family reports, JACK ERNEST BERNHEIMER, age 68 passed away on December 2, 2025 at Camden Clark Medical Center after a long illness.
Jack was born on August 14, 1957 in Parkersburg, West Virginia and was adopted by the late R. B. (Bernie) Bernheimer and Marjorie Parrish Bernheimer shortly thereafter. Jack attended high school at Parkersburg High School graduating in 1975. He later attended Bethany College, but at the passing of his father, returned home to work in a family business and attended and graduated from Marietta College with a B.A. in Business Economics in 1979.
Jack worked in the family business guiding and expanding the growth of Goldman Black as President and CEO until it's closing.
Jack was involved in many organizations, he was the Past President of the West Virginia Wholesalers Association, he was a Master Mason of Mount Olive Lodge #3, a member of Nemesis Temple, a past Potentate (1996), a member of the Royal Order of Jesters, Court 156. Jack was also very active in politics on behalf of the wholesaler's community.
Jack was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Mary (Polansky) Bernheimer and proud and loving father to son Johnathen Bernard Bernheimer (Bernie). Jack had a lifelong passion for golf and smoking a good cigar. Jack loved keeping up with his friends and neighbors. Jack was kind, thoughtful and giving of his time, talent and resources, especially through the Shrine to help handicapped children.
Jack is survived by his wife, Mary, of 43 years and son, Bernie. He is also survived by a sister Martha Mundy, sister-in-law, Jane Long, and three brothers-in-law and their wives, Joe, Tom, and Paul Polansky. He also leaves 20 nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at Grand Point Conference Center, 1500 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, West Virginia.
