Jackie Strickland Obituary
REV. JACKIE LEE STRICKLAND, 76, of Looneyville, died Thursday, September 25, 2025, at his home, with his family by his side.
He was born September 4, 1949, at Charleston, the son of the late Orville Lee and Edna Vera Mahan Strickland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Dale Strickland.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Irene Jett Strickland of Looneyville; children, Vera (Kevin) Stewart of Ripley, Orville Edward (Melissa) Strickland of Left Hand and Jackie Lee (Danylle) Strickland, II of Looneyville; grandchildren, Shawna, Amber, Jason, Jeffrey, Dustin, Kayla, Sierra and Walker; 14 great grandchildren; sisters, Carol Jean (Forrest) Holley and Diane (Danny) McClung both of Elkview; brother, Billy Joe (Sue) Strickland of Elkview; several nieces and nephews.
He was a carpenter and attended Epling Chapel Baptist Church, Looneyville.
His pastimes included fishing, hunting and trading.
There will be no service or visitation at this time.
John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, is assisting the family.
