Janice Gail Whited

JANICE GAIL (CASTO) WHITED entered into the presence of the Lord on December 18, 2025 and received comfort and peace after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease.
She was the daughter of Granville and Reva Casto, born on September 14, 1943.
She was a graduate of Dunbar High School and former employee of The Bank of Dunbar.
Janice was a devoted Christian, loving mother, grandmother, and loyal friend to many. She enjoyed sharing meals with friends, celebrating holidays with family and keeping up with the activities of her grandchildren. Janice could often be seen at sporting events cheering on her grandsons and the children of her extended family and friends.
Preceding Janice in death were her parents, her brother Edison Casto, her great-granddaughter Anne Gail Grishaber, and her husband Jerry Whited.
She is survived by her son, John Whited (Christy) of Hurricane, WV and daughter Jennifer Grishaber (Greg) of Knoxville, TN.
Janice leaves behind her three cherished grandsons, Grant Grishaber (Kassie), Jared Whited, Glenn Whited, and two great grandchildren, Grace Ellen Grishaber and Matthew Freer Grishaber, all of whom brought her immense joy.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Keller Funeral Home in Dunbar, WV with Dr. Kyle Key officiating. Burial will follow in Moss Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
