Kathleen Thomas Obituary
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of KATHLEEN MARIE THOMAS, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who passed peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the age of 54.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri, she dedicated her life to being the best wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that she could. Her home was filled with love, laughter, and the aroma of freshly baked desserts.
She was the proud mother of 5 children, grandmother of 17, and great-grandmother of 2, each of whom brought her immense joy.
Kathleen will be remembered for her gentle spirit and deep spiritual faith. She found joy in the simple pleasures tending her garden, sharing stories at the kitchen table, and celebrating even the smallest of milestones in the lives of those she loved.
She is survived by her husband John R. Thomas, her children Joshua, Starr, Brittany, William, and Justin. Her stepson John Thomas and Her grandchildren, Joshua, Isaiah, Damian, Rayden, Olivia Grace, and Levi Chaney, Deondre, Brittany, Shakeena, Aaliyah, and Zariah Crockett, Kaleigh-Marie, Kamren, and Kristian Wilburn, Conner, Carley, and Jaiden Leeson. Her great-grandchildren Paizley Chaney and unborn. As well as her brothers Steven and Christopher Chaney
She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Lovell and grandchild Kali Lamarr.
Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She taught us the meaning of resilience, kindness, and the enduring power of family.
Rest in peace, Kathleen Marie Thomas. Your love was the foundation of our family, and your memory will forever be our blessing. We love you Momma.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Bollinger Funeral Home, Charleston. Cremation will be observed following the service.
Family and friends will gather for a time of visitation two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
