Macel Mae Cavender

MACEL MAE CAVENDER, 95, of Sissonville, peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 after an extended illness.
Our dear and precious mother was a godly woman we highly respected and cherished. She was the matriarch of our family and led by the example of her everyday life. She was a caring, kind, and gentle-spirited person who always put others before herself. She sincerely loved her family and worked hard to do her best for them. We celebrate you Mother a woman who was good, wise, humble, and the truest kind of success in life. We all love you more than you could have ever imagined.
Macel was a Christian who truly loved the Lord. She left her family and friends with the hope of reuniting with her in heaven someday.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Cavender, her parents, a sister, and three brothers.
Macel is survived by her children, Debbie (Mike), Paula (Kent), Terri (Stanley), and Larry (Cindy); a sister, Jeanne; grandchildren, Danny, P.R., Ric, Ryan, Caleb, and Hannah; great-grandchildren, Zach, Chelsea, Katie, Nathan, Seth, Carlee, Silas, Zeke, Ariana, Eli, Josslyn, and Juliette; and great-great-grandchildren, Natalie, Bryson, Waylon, Kashlynn, Ryder, Denver, Axel, and Jenny Lynn.
The funeral service for Macel will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, October 20, 2025 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Reverend Sandy Burdette and Pastor Dave Carney officiating. A private burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park in Dunbar.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
