Patricia Ann "Pat" Ruddle obituary, 1937-2025, Charleston, WV

Patricia Ruddle Obituary

Patricia Ann Hebb Ruddle passed peacefully on a snowy night February 20, 2025. The daughter of John Glenn and Edna Eloise Boggs Hebb, Pat was born September 8, 1937, in Charleston WV. A graduate of South Charleston High School, she attended George Washington University and Marshall University. On January 24, 1957, Pat married John David Ruddle of South Charleston, WV.

A resident of St Albans, WV she worked in the legal/medical fields before working for Jefferds Corporation, St Albans, WV. Retiring with 24 years of service in 1998, she moved with her husband to Yorktown, VA in 1999.

Pat was a Christian and an active member of Highlawn Presbyterian Church, St Albans WV until she transferred to Kirkwood Presbyterian Church, Yorktown, VA.

She is survived by her sister Sandra Myers of Virginia Beach, VA in addition to three children: David Glenn Ruddle (Chantel Aracne-Ruddle) Livermore, CA, Elizabeth "Libby" Ann Kortz (Stephen Andrew) Yorktown, VA and Katherine Marie O'Dea (Shawn Patrick), London, Ohio.

Grandmother of six grandchildren - Andrew, Robert, Brittney, Matthew, Kaitlin, and Zachary as well as seven great grandchildren - Penelope, Kai, Danny, Jake, Noah, Michael, Madelyn, Charlie, Olivia and Annabelle. Pat is also survived by 2 nieces and 3 nephews: sister-in-law Donna Broom Hebb.

Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband John David of 67 years, sister Sharon Charbonniez, brother John Glenn Hebb II and nephew Joel Lee Myers.

A graveside committal service will be held 10 AM, June 14, 2025, at Graceland Memorial Park, 100 Graceland Circle, So. Charleston with Pastor John Nelson, Highlawn Presbyterian Church. A reception will follow at The Retreat, One Creative Place, Charleston, WV 25311.
