Phyllis Pittman Obituary
PHYLLIS ANN PITTMAN of Charleston passed away on December 5 at the age of 88. She was born on August 8, 1937, in a farmhouse on Wills Creek Road in Elkview and was the daughter of Dexter and Lura Facemyer.
Phyllis is survived by her devoted husband of 69 years, Samuel Paul Pittman, and her sister, Brenda Stewart (niece Angela and nephew Ben). She is also survived by her four children Karen Pulley, Sharon Turkaly, Connie Gundy, and Alan Pittman and eight grandchildren Brittany, Christopher, Mikaela, Michael, Megan, Ethan, Avery and Naya. She leaves behind seven great grandchildren: Braxtyn, Enoch, Makenzie, Briana, Ben, Brooke and Jack.
Phyllis lived a thoughtful, curious, and compassionate life. She possessed a gentle wisdom and a deep love for her family, and she made a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. We were so blessed to have her, and we will love and miss her forever.
