Richard Ferrell Obituary

Richard "Rick" Denver Ferrell, 76, of Sissonville went to his eternal home free from pain on November 8, 2024 surrounded by family.

Rick was born February 21, 1948 in Charleston to the late Flossie Pearl Bailey and Denver Fulton Ferrell.

Rick was a graduate of Sissonville High School, and Morris Harvey College. He retired from the WVDOH, and loved watching and playing softball, golf, and bowling. Rick coached bitty basketball and was an antique car enthusiast enjoying showing his antique cars at car shows.

Left to cherish his memory are loving wife of 21 years, Roma Holmes Ferrell; daughter, Linda Barnette (Todd); grandchildren, Lauren and Lila; step-daughter, Amy Carpenter (Roger); grandchildren, Braxton Carpenter and Alyssa Powell (Evan); great-grandchildren, Saylor, Lincoln, and Vander; beloved cousin, Gene Ferrell; and a host of friends.

Memorial service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the Calvary Church of the Nazarene, 1113 County Rte 21, Charleston, WV 25312 with Todd Barnette officiating.
