His clients loved him and he had a wonderful relationship with each of them. A fond memory was every time we went to dinner as a family. He was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Charleston WV serving as an elder for many years and President of the Men Of The Church.
An avid dog lover, he owned and hunted with his English and Lewellyn setters but it was his love of his Irish Setter "Brandi" that introduced him to obedience where he trained and competed in trials with much success. His favorite dogs, other than his own, were his loving daughter, Beth and Ricks three Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Finn, Ripley and Ronin which he loved dearly referring to them as "my boys".
After he retired, he and wife Betsy moved to Sarasota in 2002. They became members of Church Of The Palms Presbyterian Church where they both were involved in numerous activities together.
Bobs hobbies included running where he trained and competed in the Charleston Distance Runs Chas WV and also white water canoe and kayak racing nine years in a row with his older brother Ron.
