Robin Black Obituary


ROBIN SUZETTE ADKISON BLACK, 62, of St Albans, passed away October 15, 2025 with her family by her side.
She was born April 23, 1963 in Charleston, the daughter of Donald and Elizabeth McClanhan Adkison, of Scott Depot.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, JJ and Peggy McClanhan, and paternal grandparents, Boyd and Bonsi Adkison.
Robin had just completed her 35th year with the WV Division of Forestry. She had also been the coordinator of Adopt-Player -Program with the Wheelers, Alley Cats, Power and the Dirty Birds for the past 31 years. She also enjoyed her knitting and scrap booking hobbies.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Jason Barlow Black, brother Donald Christopher Adkison (Connie), nephew Cody Adkison (Taylor), and two great nieces, Emberly and McKinley, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Robin's life will be Noon, Monday, October 20, 2025 at St. Peter's United Methodist Church, 2601 Forrestal Avenue, St Albans, with Pastor Jacob Henley officiating. Entombment will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St Albans.
Gathering of family and friends will be from 11a.m. until time of service at the church.
