Rosa Leigh Burdette

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of ROSA LEIGH BURDETTE, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who left this world peacefully on April 29, 2025, at the age of 72.
Rosa was the heart of the family, a source of unconditional love, quiet strength, and endless kindness. She was married to Bill Burdette for 51 years, and together they built a life full of laughter, love, and deep devotion. As a mother, she nurtured her children with patience and warmth. As a grandmother and great-grandmother, she created a legacy of love that will live on in every life she touched.
She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering faith in Christ, her comforting hugs, and the way she made everyone feel at home. Her love was a constant in all the lives she touched steady, strong, and always present. As a devoted Christian, she lived a life that reflected God's love and grace. We take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior, welcomed into Heaven with open arms.
She is survived by husband Bill Burdette, children Rochelle Davis (Wade) and Billy Burdette, grandchildren Sydney French (Bert) and Sierrah Yoak (Jarrett), great grandchildren Sawyer Yoak and Berkleigh French, sisters Karen Harless (Omar) and Donna Nelson (Randy), caregivers Kelly Cottrell and Alisha Vance, as well as, many extended family members and dear friends.
A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Elk River Nazarene Church. Visitation will be at 2:30 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 4 p.m. Burial services will be held at Elk Hills Memorial Park on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 11 a.m.
Rosa was deeply loved, and her absence will be felt every day. But her love lives on in all of us.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of her generous and giving spirit.
