Virginia Dye

VIRGINIA (TRUMAN) DYE, 96, of Glen Ferris, WV passed away April 13, 2025 at the Montgomery General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 4, 1928 in Swandale, WV a daughter of the late Greely and Ruby (Simons) Truman .
She was a homemaker and for many years owned Dye Floral in Gauley Bridge, WV She loved going to her grandchildren's and great grandchildren's activities, and her family always said she had "wheels on her butt".
She is survived by her sons Stephen Dye (Terri) of Charlton Heights, Allen Dye (Julie) of Warren, OH, and Zack Dye (Terrie Smith) of Tornado, WV; daughter Stephanie Dye Flores of Glen Ferris; grandchildren Amy Dye Mankins (Brad) of Glade Springs, WV, Rebecca Dye Leavitt (Stephen) of Vienna, WV, Wesley Dye (Amanda) of Hurricane, WV, Chelsea Dye of Warren, OH, Jonathan Massett (April) of Warren, OH, Alexandra Pennington (Wayne) of Glen Ferris, WV, and Quinn Flores of St. Albans, WV; and great grandchildren Rachel Mankins Price (Stephen), Lauren Mankins, Connor Bailey, Hayden Leavitt, Ella, Madelyn, and Nora Dye, Macie and Parker Massett; and Mila and Decker Pennington. She is also survived by her two sisters Loretta Snodgrass and Netta Ruth Harold.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Junior Dye; and siblings Ron Truman, Wilma Boggs, Nina Sanchez, Leona Jones, and Randall Truman.
A celebration of Virginia's life will be held Saturday 2 p.m., April 26, 2025 at Pennington Funeral Home in Gauley Bridge, WV. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
