Ada Sifers Obituary

Ada Marie Sifers, 92, of Meadow Bridge passed away on Tuesday evening, September 23, 2025 at Charleston General Hospital. She was born on December 22, 1932 at Springdale; she was the daughter of the late Adam Enoch Hanshew and Rheba Violet Gill Hanshew. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Sifers in 1998; brothers, Leonard Hanshew, Harold Hanshew, Melvin Hanshew and Delbert Hanshew. Ada was a member of Springdale Church of Christ. She loved the outdoors, particularly yardwork and birdwatching. Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Thomas (Kathie) Sifers of NC, Jeffrey (Robin) Sifers of Meadow Bridge; sister, Violet Cummings of Springdale; six grandchildren, Tara (Scott) of Ohio, Nicholas (Brandy) of NC, Tiffany (Andy) of NC, Crystal of Morgantown, Taralyn of Beckley and Michael (Taylor) of Fayetteville; 13 great grandchildren and one on the way. Graveside service will be 3:30 p.m., Friday, September 26, 2025 at Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville with Evangelist Chase Whitten officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Three Rivers Avian Center at 2583 Brooks Mountain Rd., Hinton, WV 25951 Online condolences may be made to the family by visiting www.wallaceandwallacefh.com Wallace & Wallace, Inc. of Rainelle, WV is in charge of arrangements.
