Danny Snuffer Obituary

Danny Joe Snuffer, age 75, of Newhall, West Virginia, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025, at a Bluefield, West Virginia, hospital. Danny was born on April 4, 1950, in Beckley, West Virginia, to the late Donald Blaine Snuffer and Ruth Ann Burleson Snuffer. He was a graduate of Mt. Hope High School and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. Danny later supported his family by laboring in and around the coal mines for over 30 years. He was a dedicated member of the Lifting Up Jesus Church in Pounding Mill, Virginia. He was a loving husband, brother, and friend. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Timmy Snuffer. Those left to cherish Danny's memory are: His wife, Linda Asbury Snuffer of Newhall, WV Stepmother, Agnes Snuffer of Orchard, WV Sisters: Rosemary Snuffer and her husband, George of Beaver, WV Patty Taylor of Elkin, NC Brother, Randall Snuffer of Beaver, WV Services will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Tazewell, VA, with the Reverend Gary Hicks and Reverend Scotty Maxfield officiating. A visitation will be held from 12 PM until the time of the service. Military rites will be conducted by the Casey-Shortt VFW Post #9640. Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Tazewell, VA, is serving the family of Mr. Snuffer, and those wishing to express sympathy online may do so at www.hurstscottfuneralhomes.com.
