Dorinda Atkins Obituary
Dorinda Diana Atkins went Home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 27, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.
Dorinda was born on April 12, 1950, in Odessa, Texas. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved her family deeply and unconditionally. Dorinda's life was centered around her faith and family, always putting God and her loved ones first. Whenever someone was in need, she was there with a helping hand and a caring heart. A faithful member of Cedar Bluff Baptist Church in Atkins, Dorinda found great joy in serving her Lord, especially through her work in Vacation Bible School and caring for children in the nursery. She truly embodied the grace and love of a Godly Christian wife and mother, and her gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents Garlen & Bettie Jene Clark.
Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years Charlie Atkins; two sons Andy Atkins & Kristina and Chris Atkins & Amy; two daughters Traci Atkins & Travis and Leiann Atkins & John; brother Ed Clark & wife Mayra; sister Mechele Howard & husband Olen; grandchildren Michael Thompson & wife Montana, Matthew Atkins, Bryton Atkins, Tyler Atkins, Loghan Thompson, Alexis Atkins, Eli Atkins, Bodhi Jones, and Israel Atkins; great grandchild Shepherd Thompson; special niece Lela Putnam & husband Dylan along with her daughters Everly & Kaylee; numerous cousins, and other loving family and friends to include Phyllis Jones and Charlotte Clark.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00PM, Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Cedar Bluff Baptist Church in Atkins with Pastor Justin Hall officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00PM on Thursday evening at the church. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, October 31, 2025, at Wassum Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley's Funeral Home of Marion is serving the Atkins Family.

God bless, there used to be a grief support in Marion yrs ago but I don’t know if it’s still there but Mt rogers have some people there to help with grief. God will help you, take care.

Some of my fondest memories are with this family. Sitting in their living room playing UNO for what felt like days. Or suntanning in the back yard with the radio playing. I’m blessed to have had such a dear cousin.Through out our lives we have managed to keep our relationship going. We bonded as kids and it never left us truly thankful for that.
What has been said of her is so true! God and family were everything to her, that’s where her heart has always been. She had years of health issues, but managed to stay positive,smile and not complain. She would tell me what good care Charlie took of her. I thank you Charlie.
