Earnest Walk Obituary

Earnest McKinley Walk, age 80, of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025 at his home. He was born in Baptist Valley, Virginia and was the son of the late Stuart Walk and Mattie Warf Walk. He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a retired truck driver. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend to all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Aleta Walk; sisters, Margaret Walk, Maggie Walk, Betty June Walk, Ira Mitchell, Lera Ann Walk, and Edith Walk; brothers, Bill Walk, Robert Walk, Sherman Walk, Jesse Walk, and Stuart Walk, Jr.; infant son, Gregory Walk; and granddaughter, Veronia Davis. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Survivors Are: Daughters: Carolyn Walk Hess and Barbara Walk Sons: Earenst Walk, Jr. and wife, Teresa Whitt Walk; Randy Walk, Michael Terry Walk, and Timothy Walk Step Son: Rick Davis Nine Grandchildren, including a special granddaughter, Laura Beth Hess, and Six Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive. Services will be private. Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands is in charge of arrangements, and those wishing to express sympathy online may do so at www.hurstscottfuneralhomes.com
