Ernest "Ernie" Bennett

Ernest "Ernie" Bennett, 66 of Parkersburg, formerly of Rupert passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Camden Clark Hospital, Parkersburg. He was born on March 24, 1959; he was the son of the late William Bennett and Edith Simms Bennett. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters: Danvil "Danny" Bennett, Bill Bennett, Lee Bennett, George "Tucker" Bennett, Shirley Bennett Stickler, and Sallie Davis. Surviving are his children: Ernest (Destinie) Bennett, Jr., Jacob (Emily) Bennett, Kacy (Mark) Bennett, Jessica (Jason) Nutter, and Melanie (Trish) Pullen; grandchildren: Maia, Jonah, Sophia, Leo, Oliver, Patience, Mason, Marigold, Waylon, and Trenton; mother of his children, Tacy Cornell Bennett; Brother, James (Fran) Bennett; nieces and nephews: Edith Storer, Eddie Bennett, and Barbara Burdette; and extended family and friends. Services will be held at Wallace & Wallace, Rainelle on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Adam Tygrett and Pastor Josh Callison. A private burial will follow. Visitation will be at the Rainelle chapel from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
