Frank Lanier Obituary

Frank Raymond Lanier, 78, of Lochgelly, West Virginia, passed away, Wednesday, October 14, 2025, at CAMC General in Charleston, West Virginia, following a short illness. Frank was born, November 13, 1946, in Summerlee, West Virginia, to the late Harry and Ann Lanier. Frank was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was a retired master machinist and was the original MacGyver who could fix anything, especially small engines. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, drag racing, and playing guitar. His favorite way to spend his time was with his three great-grandchildren and his family. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 58 years, Susan Lanier; son, Frank Raymond Lanier II (Susan); daughters, Ruth Lanier Elswick (Tracy) and Rachel Lanier Bragg (Larry); grandson, Robert Lanier (Makayla); his three great-grandchildren; and his brother, Harry Lanier (Rella). Services will be held at 7:30 PM, Friday, October 17, 2025, at High Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Fedukovich officiating. Friends may call on the family from 5:00 PM, Friday, October 17, 2025, at High Lawn Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.highlawnfuneralhome.com.
