Glen Allen "Deedles" Rotenberry

Glen "Deedles the Muffler Man" Allen Rotenberry, 71, of Carswell, WV, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 17, 2025.
Born on October 24, 1953, in Welch, WV, Glen was the beloved son of the late Peter Jr. and Opal Juanita Wright Rotenberry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Pete Rotenberry and David Rotenberry.
Glen was known by many throughout the community as "Deedles" or "The Muffler Man." He proudly worked for 45 years at the Big Four Exxon Station in Kimball, WV, where his unmatched skill and down-to-earth personality made him a familiar and trusted face to countless customers and friends. After retiring from Big Four, Glen continued to work for another two years at ESP, staying active and involved in the community he loved.
Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Elizabeth Clemins of Carswell, WV, and Rebecca Sue Torres and husband Kenny of Bluefield, VA; brothers, Sammy Rotenberry and wife Tammy of Bluefield, WV, and Clifford Rotenberry and wife Janice of Carswell, WV; his special dog, Bubby Dog; his dear friend, Doug Denton; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Glen's life was marked by hard work, loyalty, and a steady presence that made an impact on all who knew him.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 12 o'clock with Preacher Donald Williams officiating at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV. Burial will follow. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
Friends may visit with the family Monday, October 20, 2025, at the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in Welch, WV from 6 to 8 PM.
