Pansy Traylor Obituary
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Charles "Pappy" Traylor, Jr.; two sons, Kelly Alvin Traylor and William David Traylor; one sister, Betty Sue Vance; and sister-in-law, Betty Donaldson.
Pansy was a homemaker and spent her life caring for her family during her husband's 31-year Naval career, and after as a loving mother and grandmother. She and "Pappy" moved to West Virginia in 1977 from Knoxville, TN. They enjoyed participating in Civil War reenactments with their grandchildren. Pansy enjoyed quilting, crocheting, reading cookbooks, and going to Southern Living "granny" shows. There was never a time she didn't have an orchid she wasn't tending to, or cookbook that was far from her reach.
She is survived by one son, Charles Rhea Traylor of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter-in-law, Gail Traylor; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice Day; one brother, Benjamin B. Donaldson, Jr.; and her caregiver and adopted granddaughter, Jane Phillips of Speedway.
In keeping with Pansy's wishes she will be cremated. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, October 31, 2025 at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Chaplin Sharon Blackwell officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the service hour on Friday.
