Lawrence Emery Ries 1941- Lawrence Emery Ries, 84, passed from this life on October 10, 2025 in Arizona. He was born on June 25, 1941 in Los Angeles to Ruth and Edwin Ries and was raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1958 then forged a diverse engineering career in television and radio production at stations in Laramie, Cheyenne, and San Francisco. Larry married Carol Lea Wilcox on June 5, 1965, and they had a happy marriage until her passing in 1989. He married Cynthia Robert on January 1, 2000. Larry was the wind beneath her wings, and Cynthia was his devoted companion during his later years with Alzheimers where he never complained about his disease and always kept a positive attitude. Larry was a kindhearted, wonderful man who always looked at the good in everyone. His smile could light up any room. He loved to bicycle, dance to country music, and travel. Larry was predeceased by sister Marian Scheer. He is survived by his wife Cindy, stepchildren Melissa, Jessica, and Charlie, and five step-grandchildren. His surviving nephew James Allison and niece Cindy McVay will miss their beloved "Uncle Buck."
