FAIRBORN — Gregory P. Addis, age 56 of Fairborn, passed away Saturday April 30, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 29, 1959 in Long Beach, CA, the son of James Paul and Mona (White) Addis. Greg was employed at UTC Aerospace Systems in Troy. He was a former Wright State Baseball pitcher; enjoyed coaching little league; and spending time with family and friends. Greg was an avid sports enthusiast, especially the Cincinnati Reds and OSU Football. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mona Addis. Greg is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Suzanne; three children, Sean Addis, Rachel Addis (Justin Konicki); Matthew Addis (Mollie Engle); Father, James Paul; two sisters, Jeri Dolch (Alan), Paula Bernard (Bob); mother-in-law, Joan Heidelberg. Greg fought a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held on Thursday May 5, 2016 at 5:00 P.M. in the Fairborn United Methodist Church, 100 N. Broad St., Fairborn, Pastor Aaron Chivington officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until the time of service. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Fairborn United Methodist Church, in support of their community outreach programs. Arrangements in care of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, Fairborn.
